Shelby Distortion
Shelby is a hi-gain distortion pedal, all done with FETs! There are two pairs of JFETs in mu amp configuration- basically like a pair tubes- which sound like a cranked amp. The distortion is real feeling and full of harmonics and beef. The 3 band EQ makes the Shelby easy to dial in with any guitar. In total there are 3 stages of gain with 18V of headroom thanks to an internal voltage doubling circuit.
Tech specs
Current draw: 11mA
Impedance: 1.1MΩ input impedance, 200Ω output impedance
Power: This pedal can be powered by a 9V DC power source (2.1mm center negative). DO NOT USE MORE THAN 9V! The input voltage is doubled internally to 18V, using more than 9V will blow the voltage doubling circuit.
Size, weight: (LxWxH) 12.6 x 6.6 x 5.5cm, 295gOperation: Vol: Raise or lower the output volume. Dist: Raise or lower the amount of distortion. Highs, Mids, Bass: Sets the 3 band EQ= treble, middle, bass.
Product information
The Dist knob takes the pedal from hard crunch to full on dimed amp. The 3 band EQ makes tone shaping easy and you can tailor the sound to fit any guitar and amp combo. Each band is wide and covers a ton of frequencies.
Shelby takes boosts very well. Hit it with a clean boost, Klon, Tube Screamer, treble booster...for beefy amp-like distortion. It’s really loud too, so will hit the front end of an amp with ease.
